I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona.
I moved away for college and ended up taking a job in the northeast after graduation.
While I miss the landscape, heat and sunshine of Phoenix, I make a very good living. My job keeps me extremely busy. I don’t have the opportunity to take vacations. I often work overtime and weekends. I need to maintain a high level of dedication to continue to be successful. A little over a year ago, my grandmother passed away. I inherited the house in Phoenix. I had not visited the house in nearly fifteen years. According to what I was able to find out, the property was in need of a lot of repairs and renovations. All of the appliances were extremely old and the decor was outdated. There were single-pane windows, unattractive wallpaper and worn carpeting. There was some water damage in one of the bathrooms and rotted boards on the front porch. The water heater was rusted and the air conditioner was old enough to still utilize Freon refrigerant. There was no way I could manage all of the necessary services from out-of-state. Trying to find reliable servicemen, schedule the work and make sure everything was done properly was going to be time-consuming and stressful. I’d then need to sign on with a realtor, deal with showings and somehow arrange inspections. I would definitely need to fly to Phoenix for the closing. A coworker suggested that I look for a cash buyer. That was an excellent idea. After that, the process was stress-free, smooth and quick. I submitted information via an online form and got an offer that same day. I considered it, accepted and the closing was handled in under two weeks.
