I moved to the DFW part a few years ago! I purchased a house just outside of Dallas that provides a short commute to work, then before making an offer, I invested in a house inspection.
- While the roof was in good enough shape to qualify for insurance and bank lending, I knew it would need to be substituted sooner rather than later, however after a particularally nasty rainstorm, I noticed shingles scatter across the yard.
I was not glad about the potential cost, mess and time involved with a roof installation. I researched multiple local roofing companies and decided to contact Miller Storm Roofing & Reconstruction, but their reviews were extremely positive, and they offer free estimates. I gave some information via an online contact form and stressed a drone inspection. I was thankful that I didn’t need to take time off from work or give up a weekend to meet with a roofing corporation. The drone took pictures of my roof and a corporation representative called me with an quoted cost. They suggested going with a re-roofing process rather than a total tear-off and current roof. This process applies a current roof over top of the old roof. It saves a good deal of time, labor and expense. It made the project much more affordable. I was able to choose the style and color of shingles to complement the home, and now that the job is completed, I have all the benefits of a current roof. The improvement to curb appeal is amazing. The house is absolutely more energy efficient and protected from the elements. I’ve noticed a decrease in my heating and cooling bills and more consistent temperature from room to room, but my friend and I deal with less noise pollution.
